This is a follow-up to my previous post on the “job-based” debate in Japan.At the core of my argument is that the current discourse is fundamentally misplaced: it concentrates on HR systems while neglecting job design, which should serve as their foundation. What is often described as “hybrid” is, in reality, a manifestation of the misalignment between corporate strategy and talent management.
